A futuristic collision of analogue grit and infectious dancefloor energy, Alien On Rooftops marks a striking new chapter for the Aural Phaze Project. Released via the Arctic sub-division of Aural Phaze Records, this two-track instrumental single is an exercise in masterclass groove production, marrying high-octane electro-funk with deep, hypnotic electronic beats.
Beneath the heavy, swaggering basslines and razor-sharp synthesizer hooks lies a deeply nostalgic conceptual core. Both versions on the record pay homage to the rich universe of Japanese tokusatsu—the legendary live-action sci-fi tradition that birthed giant monsters, masked heroes, and surreal cosmic invaders. Drawing from the enduring, multi-generational fascination with these mysterious, creative monstrosities, the music channels a sense of awe, campy heroism, and late-night metropolis tension. A masterclass in thematic electronic music that turns retro-futuristic sci-fi folklore into a powerhouse groove experience.
