Elysium - Nuova Civiltà Records
Stride through the heavy velvet drapes and into the gilded shadows of an opulent, midnight-lit ballroom where decadent elegance meets relentless motion. With Ambitions, the musical project In Silk And Gold delivers a breathtaking masterstroke, released via the Elysium imprint of Nuova Civiltà Records.
Drawing heavily from the opulent theatricality and sartorial flair of early 1980s New Romanticism, the track marries soaring romanticism with a striking, high-fashion edge. Right from the opening bars, it commands attention with a driving, razor-sharp rhythm section that pulses beneath lush arrangements. A commanding brass section injects a dramatic, sophisticated flair, setting the stage for a centerpiece that defines the era: a soaring, emotionally charged saxophone solo that cuts through the nocturnal atmosphere like a beacon of pure nostalgia.
Ambitions is a triumph of pristine production and refined songwriting—a high-impact journey that captures the very soul of New Wave and New Romantic grandeur, proving that true elegance never fades from the dark.
